To become a great UX designer, ensure to overcome all the excuses you have!

Meet Martina Dimkoska – an alumna from our UX/UI Design Bootcamp, who immediately after completing the program started a career in UX Design as a Web Designer at R3 Infomedia.

We talked to Martina about her new job and how the UX/UI Design Bootcamp prepared her for diving deep into the UX design world.

Hello Martina, can you tell us something about yourself?

Hello, hello! I’m Martina, a UX/UI Design Bootcamp student in Brainster, where I graduated 4-5 months ago. As part of my qualities, I would single out organization, responsibility, the ability to learn quickly, and teamwork.

What was the reason you enrolled in the UX/UI Design Bootcamp in the first place?

I have always been a big fan of technology. My phone is full of applications I believe will make my daily life easier. I pay attention to the aesthetics of things, the feelings they evoke, what function they have. I admire some interfaces, while in others, I discover errors and wonder why certain buttons are in the wrong places.

I first started as a self-taught designer watching YouTube videos. That’s how I discovered Figma, and in my spare time, I began to draw a money-saving application.

Once I reviewed UX/UI Design Bootcamp, I knew that this was precisely what I wanted: to solve design problems and find new, creative ways to improve the user experience.

Tell us about your student days in Brainster. What was your biggest challenge during the lectures and the process of learning new things?

The main challenge was when we had to present everything we had drawn in code for the Front End Module.

Immediately after graduating from the UX/UI Design Bootcamp, you started building your career as a Web Designer at R3 Infomedia. What was the process to get here?

When searching for a job, every day is uncertain. I had several unsuccessful interviews, but I didn’t give up.  This is how I found the R3 Infomedia company. I applied, successfully passed all the steps from the job interviews, and became part of their team.

Tell us more about this company and what your responsibilities are as a UX/UI designer?

R3 Infomedia is a company with 15 years of experience in offering medium and small companies a complete solution for successful digital marketing strategies and sales of their products and services.  The company provides a variety of services: development of advanced websites, online store options, social media posting tools, internet marketing, email campaigns, and so on. I participate in the whole design process, as well as in its implementation.

Finally, what would you recommend to anyone who wants to become a designer?
