To get into a Data Science or UX/UI Design Bootcamp at Brainster, the students have to go through a careful and highly selective admissions process, with a lot of prospective applicants.
For many, finding ways to stand out among a huge pool of qualified, smart people is a frightening prospect. Especially, if you’re new to the field, you will probably wonder, how can you show you are going to be a great student?
We look for students that have taken the time to put themselves on the right path, to make a big adjustment and major time commitment, to be successful Bootcamp student.
Our Bootcamps prepare students through an efficient way to learn new skills for a complete career change into tech.
It is beneficial to have a background if you think about entering the field of Data Science or UX/UI design, BUT it is not essential to get started.
The Bootcamp is entry-level and doesn’t request previous experience. Every student is equipped with self-paced learning before the Bootcamp starts. The Prep programme will meet your needs and prepare you with a solid foundation on the basic concepts of Data Science or UX/UI design, and you will be set up for the main challenges ahead.
It is important to be proactive and to be passionate about new challenges. Your career success depends on your willingness for lifelong learning.
APPLICATION PROCESS
How do you get started?
They are full of misconceptions around the admissions process. Here is a step-by-step walkthrough of our admissions process.
Short online application
You can easily complete the first step of the application process by submitting the application form on our website, which takes a minute or two – just click on the APPLY button.
This step requires some basic information as your name, email and phone. It is that simple. We believe that all other important information is best to be shared at the one-on-one interview. The main purpose of the interview is to gather more detailed information than a survey or questionnaire can generally do.
After you apply, our admission officers will take care to schedule a video meeting over Zoom. Our admissions team is made of lovable and non-threatening people who would love to hear from you.
Interview
The Bootcamp interview is our standard one-round application process and probably the most important part of it.
This interview will be an informational and non-technical getting-to-know-you chat with a member of Bootcamp’s admissions team. You won’t have a technical interview at all, as the Bootcamp is entry-level and doesn’t request previous experience.
The interview questions are an opportunity for us to learn more about you beyond, but also this is a great way for you to have a little look inside Brainster.
You should ask about the Prep programme, Bootcamp curriculum, scholarship option, tuition payment plans or any other information you haven’t found on the Brainster Bootcamp’s website.
We will make sure you’re familiar with the programme and answer any of your questions because we’re there to help.
Application review
After you complete the video interview, it is to us, to review your application, to ensure the Bootcamp is a good potential fit for you. We want to make sure that the programme you are interested in, aligns with the skills that you have and want.
We focus on applicants who demonstrate intellectual curiosity, leadership, initiative and tenacity.
At this stage of the process, your LinkedIn profile will likely be viewed during the application review. So, you should build an All-Star LinkedIn profile. Think of your LinkedIn profile as an online resume, including enough information to appeal to a wide audience and paint a complete picture of all your various skills and strengths you have.
Selection
If you are accepted into a Brainster Bootcamp, then you completed step one of the enrollment process. You will be notified, to confirm the approval of your Bootcamp application via email! So, congrats on your acceptance. Your efforts and passion have paid off. The hard work starts here.
After months of learning, you will have hands-on skills, an impressive portfolio of real projects that stands out from the competition, and all the career support you need to launch your dream career.

ONBOARDING
The onboarding process begins where the application process ends. If you were accepted into the Brainster programme, then you entered the onboarding process.
Our Student Succes Manager will conduct an onboarding checklist, including a Prep program overview, Learning platform instructions, the discovery of the Brainster’s culture and community and a lot more.
With this, you will be prepared for your life-changing and soon you’ll be on the fast track to a rewarding and high-paying career.
You will make a wonderful decision to accelerate your education and jumpstart to a great job. With your application, you should think about what is the final goal you want to achieve by the end of the programme.
